Honoring the Brave: National Police Week Pays Tribute to Fallen Heroes
PD Admin
Every year, the United States comes together to pay homage to the courageous men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. National Police Week, observed this year from May 12th to May 18th, is a time of remembrance, reflection, and support for law enforcement officers who have given their lives while serving their communities.
The week-long celebration is a poignant reminder of the risks that police officers take every day to protect and serve the public. It is a chance for law enforcement agencies, survivors of fallen officers, and citizens to gather and pay their respects to those who have paid the ultimate price.
During National Police Week, Haverford Police will take to remember two of their own, Patrolman Barr (EOW 11/10/1967) & Sergeant Redding (EOW 12/20/2021).
As we observe National Police Week, we remember not only the fallen officers but also their families, colleagues, and communities who have been impacted by their loss. We honor their sacrifice by continuing to support and appreciate the dedicated service of our law enforcement personnel.
In conclusion, National Police Week is a time for us to come together and pay tribute to those who have given their lives in the line of duty. It is a celebration of their bravery, sacrifice, and commitment to keeping our communities safe. As we remember the fallen, we also acknowledge the ongoing service and dedication of law enforcement officers who continue to serve with courage and compassion.
